We're hugely excited to share the news that on 24-25 June 2025, the 2025 Summit will be hosted at the Yolo County Fairgrounds in Woodland, California.

What is Platform10?

Platform10 emerged from the 2023 Salinas Biological Summit which saw stakeholders from a wide range of the specialty crop industry, (outside the US, defined as vegetables, fruits, nuts & organics), meet and discuss the rapidly emerging landscape for biological products.

As regulators around the world set increasingly formal timelines for the removal of named chemical pesticides from agricultural production, the need to find alternative inputs to manage plant disease and pests has become much more urgent.

The consensus amongst those attending the Summit was that to enhance grower confidence, understanding and adoption of biological alternatives, growers had to be at the center of the biological innovation story. Platform10 was born.

Upcoming Field Trials

Platform10 is conducting global field trials, targeting specific crops and the impact of disease and pests. Working with growers, trials will be overseen by independent and highly qualified third parties, working in collaboration with the promising biopesticide company’s technical personnel. These trials will rigorously assess products to enhance grower confidence and adoption.

The first set of field trials, scheduled through 2024, will be focused on Western Grower properties in California. Open to international biopesticide companies, this first cohort of field trials will enable Platform10 to provide tight governance around the trial process before expanding to international markets.
